Berries with Spiced Jam Jar Syrup

PREP TIME: 20 minutes

1 bottle Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 thin slices fresh lemon
5 whole black peppercorns
2 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp vanilla extract
Mixed seasonal berries

Combine Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz, sugar, lemon, peppercorns, cloves and cinnamon stick in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until reduced to a syrupy consistency. Stir in vanilla extract. Strain and let cool. (Can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 1 week.)

To serve, divide berries among 6 bowls. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with Jam Jar syrup.
