Steak Marinade

Recipe by Kasim Hardaway

PREP TIME: 15 minutes (2 hour marinade)
SERVINGS: (3) 6oz steaks

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz
¾  cup olive oil
½ red onion, diced
2 sprigs fresh rosemary, chopped
1 ½ tbs lemon juice
½ tbs honey or agave
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp chili flakes
2 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients together, paying close attention to honey as it will clump easily. Pour marinade in a large sealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Submerge your favorite cut of steaks in the marinade and place in the refrigerator. Allow to marinate for at least two hours or overnight. If placed in a sealable plastic bag, turn the bag every few hours.

  2. Sear steaks over high heat with a healthy pat of butter and fresh rosemary for optimal enjoyment.
